Training Collaborative
The Training Collaborative of Junior Leagues
The Training Collaborative of Junior Leagues started as an idea in 2021. Our Junior League mission is to advance women’s leadership skills for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
Recognizing the challenges of planning and implementing year-round training opportunities for members, Junior League of Orange County, CA, reached out to other Junior Leagues globally. Many shared the same struggles, so the Training Collaborative was born to address this need.
The 2024-2025 Training Collaborative of Junior Leagues includes 84 Junior Leagues worldwide, uniting over 15,000 members under the theme “Advancing Non-Profit Leadership.” This year’s specialized training tracks include Junior League Basics, Advocacy, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB).
Training Opportunities Focus On:
- Team leadership and collaboration basics
- Project management for nonprofit organizations
- Maximizing mentor-mentee relationships
- Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Identifying and fostering future leaders
- Storytelling and communication
- Advocacy skills
- Effective networking strategies
- Building and amplifying civic connections
- Delegation and leadership transitions
Each League organizes one virtual training aligned with these themes and invites members of all participating Leagues to attend. All sessions are recorded, allowing members to access up to 84 training opportunities annually while only planning one event themselves. This collaborative approach fosters smarter, more efficient learning.
The Training Collaborative draws world-class trainers, community leaders, nonprofit pioneers, and entrepreneurs to deliver engaging sessions. By networking with members from other Leagues worldwide, we are expanding our collective reach and proving that we are stronger together.
